Commack Speech Information

Commack Speech & Language Disorders is a comprehensive therapeutic practice serving the preschool and school-age population. Liz Shapiro, a speech-language pathologist, is the director. With more that 35 years of experience in the birth to five year old population, Liz and her staff evaluate and treat preschoolers whose parents, teachers, or pediatricians have concerns about speech, language, fine and gross motor, and social emotional development. Liz and her outstanding staff of speech-language pathologists, occupational and physical therapists, educational psychologists, and MSW strive to provide quality, comprehensive and easily accessible services. Commack Speech & Language Disorders is an approved evaluation site and provider of CPSE (Committee for Preschool Special Education) services and we work closely with school districts in Suffolk County. We encourage you to call and speak directly with Liz if you have concerns regarding your preschooler in any of the above mentioned areas. Liz can provide the answers to many questions regarding whether or not your child should be evaluated and how the process works. We also work with school-age children who may or may not be receiving services through the school district. We accept several different insurance plans as well as private pay.
