The Comité d’Aide Médicale (CAM) is a non-profit humanitarian organization established in 1990 whose mandate is to provide medical and related support to communities affected by conflict, natural disasters and other humanitarian crises. Backed by 19 years of humanitarian knowledge and expertise, CAM is now a well-established international non-government organization with programs in Asia, Africa and France. CAM has also created a sister organization, the Medical Aid Committee, based in the United States. CAM develops its programs in partnership with local communities and prioritizes the strengthening of local community capacity. The goal of CAM’s work is to support communities to move from crisis to development. At CAM, our interventions revolve around two principal themes: * The implementation of programs in the post-crisis stage and assisting communities to move from crisis to development. * A commitment to implementing programs which are effective and sustainable by working in partnership with local communities.
