BENETEAU's story began in 1884 in Croix-de-Vie, in the West of France. That year, Benjamin BENETEAU (1859-1928) decided to create the boatyard whose eponym would give birth to the first fishing boats.
130 years later, his visionary spirit is still central to BENETEAU's philosophy. His heritage is a unique vision of sailing and a perpetual desire to innovate.
BENETEAU conceives, designs and builds sailing yachts and motorboats to match to everyone's sailing dreams. From the design office to the 400 dealers throughout the world, 2,500 employees work to offer high-performing, safe, comfortable and elegant boats, together with impeccable service.
BENETEAU now has 80,000 owners on all the world's seas and ranks as a global leader in the building of pleasure boats.

The Sabre Yachts lineup consists of six models, all with vee-hull designs and semi-custom stick-built interiors, and are available in Salon Express and Fly Bridge designs. Our award-winning yachts set the standard for nautical sensibility, traditional quality, and owner operation. Expertly designed for the experienced boater, Sabre offers industry-leading reliability and highly sophisticated control, coupled with classic lines and iconic woodworking, ensuring that our yachts make a statement in any harbor.
For more than 45 years Sabre yachts have been manufactured in the towns of Raymond and Rockland, Maine, by 200+ crafts-people. The Sabre team proudly represents the state's centuries-old shipbuilding heritage, continuing traditions and applying cultural knowledge that have been passed down since the original Popham Colony was founded in 1607. Our crafts-people are the 'secret ingredient' to Sabre's success, and their talent and dedication result in the highest quality downeast style motoryachts on the market today.
Sabre Yachts have been "Crafted in the Maine Tradition" since 1970 when the company’s founder, Roger Hewson, set out to build the finest possible 28-foot sailing yacht, using production-line methods and fiberglass technology. In 1989 Sabre created our first motoryacht, the Sabre 36 “Fast Trawler,” and with that first success began our rapid rise to the top of the power market. Today, our six power models consist of Salon Express and Fly Bridge styles, range from 38 to 58 feet in length, and offering cruise speeds of 25 knots and top end speeds in excess of 30 knots.
