Color My Data is a small, disabled veteran owned business located in Reno, Nevada. We develop innovative sense-and-avoid technologies to aid unmanned and manned aircraft in mid-air and obstacle collision avoidance. We also provide consulting services for Unmanned Aerials System (UAS) Traffic Management (UTM) and UAS related telematics. Industry relevance: Within a decade, thousands of commercial Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS-aka drones) will operate in major cities across America. This will create a huge flight safety issue for everything from large commercial aircraft to small UAS. NASA has identified sense and avoid technologies for operations beyond visual line of sight (BVLoS) as a critical research gap. Our vision is to bridge the need for flight safety with NASA’s emerging UAS Traffic Management (UTM) system. Our collective experience in electronic warfare, defense research, satellite command and telemetry, airspace management and UAS operations positions us as innovators in sense and avoid solutions. What is unique about our solutions is that we address not only our customer’s need for ADS-B technology but provide a mechanism for safe separation of up to 1024 aircraft.
