Collier Primary School Information

The staff, students and Collier community welcome you and look forward to your involvement with Collier Primary School. We encourage a close and effective working relationship between the school and home be established in order to ensure the satisfactory and continual educational development of all children. We describe ourselves as " A country school within the city". This website will give you a general overview of the operations of our school. Further information is distributed through our school newsletters and at Parents and Citizens meetings (Week 3 and 7 each term) and the P&C Facebook page. Collier Primary School has a long and proud history of high academic achievement built around strong partnerships between parents and teachers. Our teaching and learning programs are delivered by experienced and motivated staff who strive to develop the whole child. Our motto 'Respect and Excellence", applies equally to the academic, social, emotional and physical development of all children from Kindergarten to Year 6. Collier Primary is a local intake school but our families represent a wide range of nationalities with a diverse social and cultural heritage. This cultural diversity adds another layer to the learning experiences of our students. Collier Primary School students are noted for their enthusiasm for learning, good behaviour and respect of cultural difference and diversity of students. This is fostered by our long standing Virtues and Values program which is complemented by the work of our School Chaplain and the implementation of the "Collier Way" ethos. When parents get involved in our school it is very much appreciated by your child and others. The children's eagerness to engage in the lessons will be enhanced when they can see that you consider it important enough to take an active interest in the school.
