Collegium Juris is a international residence hall is for Danish, international and Ph.D.-students studying at the University of Copenhagen, with a majority of students studying law. It is located very central in Inner Nørrebro, nearby Skt. Hans Torv, a cozy area with restaurants, cafes, shops etc. The area is near the beautiful lakes and the very centre of the city Copenhagen. The Panum Institute, home of the Faculty of Medicine and Science, is nearby the hall and offers a playing field, tennis court and a large reading hall. The vision of the hall is to strengthen the international dimension in the education of the students academically as well as linguistically and culturally. Life at the hall is meant to encourage academic discussions and mutual cultural interest. This way the environment stimulates the students to widen their international skills and networks of the residents. Furthermore, it contributes to their academic development. Common areas: At the collegium there are plenty of common areas, which support the students’ gatherings. These areas are at the ground level, the kitchens placed on each floor and the garden. On the ground level the library and laundry rooms are to be found. Each floor has its own kitchen that is placed in the middle of the corridor, which encourages the residents to connect. In the spring- and summertime it will be possible to enjoy the garden and outside areas for relaxing with the other residents.
