Navy Pier is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation established in 2011 to maintain Chicago's historic Navy Pier and oversee the redevelopment of one of the most important civic landmarks in the United States and the top-visited leisure destination in the Midwest. Looking ahead to Navy Pier’s 100th anniversary in 2016, Navy Pier created The Centennial Vision, a framework for reimagining Navy Pier. Grounded in the noble principles of its founding designers, The Centennial Vision adds a visionary and contemporary lens for the future. Navy Pier's mission to be a world-class public place that celebrates and showcases the vitality of Chicago and provides for the enjoyment of Chicago-area residents and visitors year-round. NPI manages Navy Pier within a business framework that provides for its long-term financial stability. While looking forward to what is relevant for Chicagoans today, Navy Pier leadership is ever conscious of famed architect Daniel Burnham’s vision to transform the lakefront into attractive and useful public space for active recreation and social interaction – a source of pride and common ground that fosters a sense of community within the city’s diverse population. Navy Pier's objectives for the future remain consistent with Burnham’s enduring values for the ‘People’s Pier’ to be a place where local residents and visitors from around the world come to experience the natural beauty of the lakefront and Chicago’s magnificent skyline.

Kendall Square Association enables the future by connecting the people changing the world. In the fall of 2008, a group of Cambridge leaders realized that Kendall had rapidly evolved into something extraordinary and that it was important to think about its future in a more deliberate way. Located next to MIT and surrounded by life sciences and information technology companies, as well as many research institutions, Kendall was already an epicenter for innovation. What was also needed was a greater ability for people to connect and exchange ideas and the creation of equally vibrant and compelling activity at the street level in Kendall. The KSA was launched at a meeting for leaders in the Kendall community to discuss this innovation ecosystem’s unique characteristics. More than 100 people offered ideas about how to improve, promote, and protect Kendall Square. That input resulted in the establishment of the KSA, which had its first Annual Meeting in March 2009. The mission has always been to build partnerships, host events, advocate for public policy issues, and tell Kendall’s story of transformation from an industrial center to a global innovation hub.

Easton has more than 25 million visitors annually, and has been recognized as an industry innovator by national and international professional organizations including the 2005 NAIOP award for Best Office Park Development, the 2000 ICSC award for Innovative Shopping Center Design and Construction, and the 2016 ICSC award for Design and Development for Easton Gateway.
