The Trinity Grammar School story began in the Parish Hall of Holy Trinity Kew in 1903.
Now, Trinity stretches across four locations – Kew, Bulleen, Lake Nillahcootie and Licola – with students hailing from over 80 suburbs in and beyond Melbourne.
The Trinity classroom is a defined single-sex learning environment for boys from Prep-Year 10, with the opportunity to experience coeducation in VCE in partnership with Ruyton Girls’ School. Our Early Learning Centre accommodates both boys and girls at the 3 and 4-year-old level.
We care for approximately 1,500 students from ELC 3 – Year 12.
Predicated by the Victorian Curriculum and underscored by a philosophy of student agency, growth and resilience, our approach offers young people the breadth and depth to become their best selves.
Our learning philosophy is underscored by the idea that education is not one-size-fits-all, using data to inform our age and stage approach.
Our purpose is to be an aspirational learning community that inspires every individual to strive and contribute positively to society. Our values of truth, service, courage and community underscore our students’ experiences each day and stretch into an extensive alumni network, parent community and staff cohort who together characterise what makes Trinity, ‘Trinity’.
We want our young people to choose their own adventure, and to build within them the confidence to write their own story; to make choices, change paths and navigate obstacles to define their own journey.
St Bernard's College is a single-gender Catholic Secondary School offering a wide range of formal classes, and also a comprehensive informal curriculum, to more than 1500 young men from Year 7 through to Year 12. The students are expected to be personally enthusiastic about involving themselves in the broad educational spectrum offered by the school. This applies especially to their growth in an informed appreciation of their Faith as an integral and essential part of that broad education.
Though our student population is drawn mostly from those who have attended local Catholic Primary Schools, and whose families have been actively supportive of their sons' ongoing education in the Catholic faith through consistent involvement in their parish communities, consideration is always given to students who can demonstrate special circumstances. There is no selective academic entrance exam.
Set in extensive grounds on the side of Steele Creek Valley in West Essendon, the College is administered as two separate campuses—Years 7 to 9 and Years 10 to 12—who share the same site. This fosters a closer sense of community on each campus.
ELTHAM is a school unlike any other. We’re constantly adapting to the changing needs of young people and their world. We support them on a journey of self-discovery to unlock their talents through one of Victoria’s broadest curriculums. Most importantly, our teachers guide each young person to become empowered with the self-confidence and independence to manage all aspects of their future lives.
We aim for our graduates to step into life after school as pro-active young people equipped with the skills and desire to continue successful learning. And while we’re achieving these serious aims, we’re determined to have fun at the same time! Not only do we make learning exciting and relevant to life, we also create a very different and liberating environment where teachers and students share trust and friendship and work together in mutual respect.
We’re an independent, coeducational, Early Learning - Year 12 school. We’re also proud to be non-selective - we welcome students of all backgrounds, talents and abilities.
