Cokethorpe School empowers pupils to become confident, curious, and compassionate young people through a research-informed education and a community where every individual is known, valued, and inspired to thrive. Set within 150 acres of stunning parkland, our vibrant co-curricular life and culture of ambition help pupils discover their passions, build character, and achieve more than they ever thought possible. Cokethorpe fosters a lifelong love of learning in every pupil. Our approach is centred on personalised teaching, recognising each child’s uniqueness and tailoring methods to their needs. Beyond academic excellence, we build strong learning skills for life. As a research-informed school, we apply the latest educational insights to ensure our practices are effective and evidence-based. Through innovative, engaging strategies, we create a rigorous environment where every pupil can thrive. The extensive range of clubs, societies and activities offered to pupils (35 in the Prep School and over 100 in the Senior School) are accessible within the school day. Known as AOBs (Any Other Business) in the Senior School and the Activities Programme in the Prep School, these clubs, societies and activities are an integral part of the School’s educational offer. Drama, Sport, Outdoor Education and Music further enhance the pupils’ experience from Reception to Upper Sixth. As a through school (Prep and Senior), community matters.
