CoinYou was founded in 2018 by Sean Morgan and David Waschkowski. Sean and Dave worked together at LomoStar.com and learned first hand how to beta-test and market a crypto-app. However, they realized that most people don't have the knowledge base to avoid scams, spam, and bad investments. After looking at the demographic information of the crypto industry, it was realized that predominantly young wealthy English speaking men from the developed world, are early adopters of blockchain technology and the unbanked people (who would benefit the most from blockchain) do not have access to simplified crypto-knowledge in their native language. Sean and Dave created CoinYou as a social educational community where anyone can create and consume crypto-lessons in their native language as long as they are short, simple, and honest. Unlike the tech-elite forums and channels promoting crypto as a speculation, CoinYou is a safe and supportive learning community.
