Since its inception, Cogentic Advisors has been a virtual consultancy, focused on Technology, Media and Telecom. The mission of Cogentic Advisors is to help emerging companies develop, finance and monetize their innovations. Cogentic works with some of the most well-known names in the enterprise, technology, communications, media, and financial sectors. Originally co-founded in 2004, Cogentic started as a consultancy to corporate clients in technology commercialization and intellectual property strategy. Subsequently, Cogentic expanded its offering to include strategic business development - helping companies develop and execute their go-to-market strategy and facilitating introductions to strategic partners and customers. Cogentic also expanded its service line to include supporting emerging companies in financing operations and growth and finding M&A exits to strategic investors. In 2010, Cogentic began a partnership with Rainmaker Securities, a broker-dealer based in Chicago, Illinois. Through our partnership with Rainmaker, Cogentic has the full capability of a mid-market broker-dealer platform. Through Rainmaker, Cogentic clients have access to more than 400 institutional investors, more than 100 of which are large strategic investors and buyers of technology, media or telecom companies.
