Learn more about Code Ladder at http://codeladder.org/ Code Ladder is a fully insured 501(c)(3) dedicated to giving every student the opportunity to learn to code. We provide underserved populations with free coding classes and offer low-cost classes to all other schools, groups, and organizations. What makes us different from everyone else? To start, we are passionate about promoting an open learning environment. We use Open Education, Open Source Software and resources to bring knowledge to the entire community. Our lessons are taught collaboratively where students take an active roll in their learning, we encourage them to share class resources with friends and family, and we use Open Source Software in our lesson plans. Not only do we believe educational materials should be available to everyone, we believe the hardware should be too. That’s why in addition to teachers and engaging lessons, Code Ladder also provides devices for students to use in our classes. We believe there should be no barriers to learning.
