Cobi and Ron are both Principal Brokers with Elkhorn Real Estate in Newport, Oregon. Cobi has been a full-time licensed real estate broker in Oregon for over 20 years and most often works directly with our clients while Ron normally handles marketing and other support activities. Ron has also been a licensed real estate broker in Oregon for 20 years. We both hold Principal Real Estate Brokers licenses issued by the state of Oregon. We work together as a team to support each client with unequaled, professional service to take the hassle out of your real estate transaction. Cobi was raised in a small village in the Netherlands (Holland) by dedicated parents who survived World War II. The windmill in Cobis hometown is still in use. A skilled auto mechanic, her father was conscripted by the German Army to work in a Berlin motor pool in WWII where he was held until the Soviet Army entered Berlin and began transporting the conscripts to Russia. Her father slipped away empty-handed and found his way nearly 400 miles (637 km) across Germany back to his home and wife. Back in heavily-damaged Holland, he and his wife survived the great hunger that occurred during the harsh winter after the war when roots, even tulip bulbs, gleaned from the ruined fields became a welcome meal. With stubborn resolve, the Dutch rebuilt their towns, reestablished ruined farms, resurrected their livelihoods and created families. Cobi was raised with that tradition of perseverance and hard work coupled with service to her community and neighbors that forms the bedrock of her approach to serving our real estate clients. Ron was raised in a small Southern California town when the countryside was filled with orange trees. Ron brings to his real estate work over 35 years of experience in business management, technical documentation, advertising, and marketing work for Hewlett-Packard Company, Ampex Corporation, Lockheed Aircraft Corporation and Sylvanias Electronic Defense Laboratories in addition to a number of smaller firms.
