Our 2019 Annual Conference, including AGM, Trade Show and Operator Courses is scheduled for April 4-5, 2019 at the Coast Bastion Hotel in Nanaimo. We're putting together a great agenda of Administrative Workshops across a broad range of topics for water system managers and operators. Plus the AGM, and the Trade Show (April 4th) 8:45am-5:00pm Notice of Annual General Meeting When: Thursday April 4th, 2019, 12:30pm Where: Ballroom, Coast Bastion Hotel, Nanaimo BC Administrative Workshop Speakers include: Kevin Ramsay- President, Innova Strategy Group. Kevin is the former CAO of Port Moody and Squamish, Past President of the BCWWA and is an expert on water system operation and management as well as governance for small utility systems. He has worked extensively on Vancouver Island and will speak to current day challenges faced by those of us managing financial, regulatory and systemic issues. His presentations have been described by previous participants as informative, engaging and fun. Ken Nentwig- CANARM, Rainwater Harvesting System Standard The CSA B805-18/ICC 805-2018 Rainwater Harvesting Systems standard has been published for Canada and the US - the first comprehensive international standard for this topic. Utilities, system designers, design professionals and anyone involved in utilizing rainwater as a water source will want to be informed. This session will overview the just-released (April) standard, and then apply it to case studies chosen from dozens of projects across Canada. Ken is an educator and retired landscape architect, and has been involved in rainwater harvesting through CANARM and through Gaia College since 2012.
