Coastal Discoveries Information

COASTAL DISCOVERIES is a non-profit marine adventure summer program dedicated to enriching children's understanding and appreciation of our coastal waters. We wrestle with everchanging costs (namely FUEL!) and try to keep program participation fees low and affordable. We recognize there are many area children and families who could use some financial assistance, and we do not want to exclude any child who is eager to participate in our program. We work hard to secure additional sources of funding so that we can offer full and partial scholarships to deserving, interested children. In past years we were very fortunate to have the Institution for Savings, Newburyport Bank and The Provident Bank sponsor children referred by the Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center, Pettengill House and Salisbury Elementary School. We anticipate being able to offer at least 10 more sponsorships in 2017. If you would like to be a sponsor, or could use a full or partial scholarship, please contact Beth Abbott-Bishop.
