The Coalition for the Homeless is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in the District of Columbia. Our mission is to help transition homeless and at-risk individuals and families to self-sufficiency through housing programs and supportive services. The Coalition was created in 1979 and incorporated on August 18, 1981. More than 40 years later, the Coalition continues to establish activities and solutions in the community to help eliminate homelessness.
