Coal Action Network works for an end to the use of UK coal in power generation and steel production, and campaigns for justice for communities affected by the UK's current and historical involvement with fossil fuels. We currently work with the UK's insurance industry to support a managed transition away from fossil fuel underwriting, and towards cleaner and more equitable energy systems. We work in solidarity with communities on the front-lines of fossil fuel-extraction and associated human rights abuses across the world, and offer support in terms of: campaign strategy, communications, building networks, fundraising, research, organising events, mobilising grassroots campaigns and supporting legal challenges to fossil fuel companies.
