CMET Engineering, LLC is a multi-disciplinary engineering firm specializing in planning, design, and management of public works infrastructure projects. CMET's principal has provided expert-level technical oversight to numerous small, medium and large scale projects for municipal, local, state and federal entities. CMET's expertise is multi-disciplinary, as is evident from the services we provide. CMET's principal has extensive experience working with municipal, state and federal clients throughout the Gulf Coast region, particularly in southeast Louisiana. These clients include City Of New Orleans, City of Kenner, Regional Planning Commission, Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ), Jefferson Parish Department of Public Works, Jefferson Parish School Board, Southeast Louisiana Flood Protection Authority-East (SLFPA-E), Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority (CPRA), Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD), Louisiana Recovery Authority (LRA), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA). CMET's principal is also active in a variety of national and local professional organizations, including the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), University council on Water Resources, Louisiana Engineering Society, Water Pollution Control Federation, American Academy of Environmental Engineers, American Water Works Association and Capital Resource Conservation and Development Council. CMET is uniquely positioned to offer local agency coordination for work in coastal Louisiana with a thorough understanding of the Section 533 (WRDA) and Section 108 (EWDA) processes, Feasibility Studies and Cost/Benefit analyses. CMET's agency coordination expertise and knowledge of funding programs will be valuable in securing state and federal funds and managing subsequent public works projects. CMET is experienced in the intricate processes and logistics of public sector projects funded by many agencies, often concurrently, and is familiar with grant management, permitting, design, NEPA documentation and construction management of projects funded by SELA, WRDA, OCPR, HUD/CDBG Disaster Recovery, STAG, PAS, FEMA PW, LDEQ CWSRLF, FAA, etc. CMET is intimately familiar with both the funding agencies as well as the grant recipients, having worked closely with executive staff, administrative staff, technical staff and field staff on both levels.
