CLUJ IT Cluster Information

Cluj IT Cluster is Romania's largest innovation ecosystem built along the IT industry value chain. Established in October 2012 in Cluj-Napoca, their business and innovation community has more than 120 members, with more than 85 companies, 17 universities and research institutes, as well as a wide array of catalyst organizations. Our industry members employ more than 5500 talented professionals and generate a combined turnover of more than 200 million EUR. Driven by the needs and aspirations of the cluster members and of the larger community we are part of, Cluj IT focuses on strategic activities that push digital and green transformation, foster collaborative partnerships and forge transnational projects. Cluj IT promotes an open approach from which all stakeholders, whether providers of IT products and services, public institutions and society at large, can contribute and benefit. Over the years, we have worked diligently to establish a functional innovation driven community with the aim to redefine value chains, create new ones and build a sustainable and resilient ecosystem. Our efforts have contributed to the rebranding of Cluj-Napoca, helping it depart from a place of very little progress and become one of the hot spots of creativity and innovation in Central and Eastern Europe.
