However, there is a lot to be done to reform healthcare in Brazil, specificially Rio de Janiero. Brazil is another rapidly growing country. In Rio de Janiero, health care is predominantly provided through private medical providers. This leaves people who can not afford private health care at a severe disadvantage, and the life expectancy numbers support that data. Brazil's average life expectancy is steadily increasing as the country pushes toward universal healthcare. At just over 73 years, the average life span in Brazil is in the bottom two-thirds globally, which does not bode well for a country as large in numbers and size as Brazil. CloudMD intends to use available resources to help change the future for the people of Brazil starting in January 2015. However, a lot of strides need to be taken to provide aid to people struggling in a health care crisis. There are more private facilities in Rio de Janiero than surrounding cities and in other countries, however, the large volume of patients that come in and out of one of Brazil's largest cities make it difficult to deliver proper care to each and every one of them. The first step the Brazilian government has taken to reduce the shortage of physicians is to allow Cuban doctors to emigrate to the South American country. Still there is a shortage.
