Partnering hospitals have access to advanced pain care processes, technologies and business practices. Our partners include well-regarded academic medical centers and hospital systems. CPS has the expertise, experience and resources to assure the clinical and financial success of our Pain Care Centers. CPS has a very refined model for operating a small (one to three doctors) pain center. Today many hospital need to subsidize their pain clinics. CPS reverses this situation making the pain center a major financial contributor. Our partners are able to offer their patients a truly integrative care experience. The CPS model includes focused psychology services and appropriate alternative and complimentary services. We also use technology to extend care to these chronic patients beyond the walls of the clinic. The Company enters into multi-year agreements with a partnering hospitals. Each agreement may vary somewhat based on the current status of the hospital. If a hospital has no pain clinic we may build, staff and operate the clinic and share the income. If the hospital has a clinic and staff CPS may modify operations and marketing, sharing in the growth. Most pain centers treat pain as a general condition. A key differentiator of Pain-Assist is our disease management programs. For example, our "Arthritis Pain Care Track" is designed to optimize care for arthritic patients. In addition to quality medical decision making and advanced procedures, these programs have trained care coordinators, specialty education, complementary and alternative care, nutrition and herbal medicine support.
