Climate for Change Information

Climate for Change is a volunteer-powered, not-for-profit organisation that empowers Australians to have meaningful conversations about climate change to strengthen their sense of hope, motivation and agency. We’ve adapted the Tupperware party model of small gatherings in people’s homes, each of which generates another, to facilitate face-to-face conversations about climate change. We train everyday people to have powerful conversations about climate change with their friends, colleagues and family. Once engaged, we empower them with resources and community support to help them connect with elected representatives and make democratic action easy and impactful. Our goal is to encourage conversations about climate change with enough people to shift the public conversation on climate change. We have grown rapidly since our humble beginnings, engaging over 11,500 people in Climate Conversations and reaching thousands more through our campaigns and other activities. We are an intergenerational, bipartisan community dedicated to creating a climate for change in Australia. Climate for Change is a registered not-for-profit Environment Organisation with tax deductible gift recipiency status.
