CLECO Primary Care Network Information

CLECO Primary Care Network's mission is to actively coordinate, integrate and improve access to quality primary and preventive healthcare services, including the medically underserved citizens of Cleveland County and surrounding communities, regardless of their ability to pay. As an organization that values people, we strive to live this mission by believing in human dignity, compassion, dedication, integrity, stewardship, leadership, service and excellence. A continuous effort to improve service to our community is our primary goal. About CLECO: CLECO is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization established in 1994 by a team of local health care physicians with a purpose to serve the general community, underserved, uninsured and low-income population. CLECO Primary Care Network operates as a Rural Health Center (RHC) affiliated with the Office of Rural and Community Health Care and the NC Community Health Center Association. CLECO Primary Care Network operates the following three non-profit practices in Cleveland County, NC: Upper Cleveland Medical Center, CLECO Medical Center of Shelby, and Kings Mountain Medical Center. CLECO's practices are one of the only networks of primary care physicians in the county offering health care services to patients regardless of their ability to pay. CLECO strives to live our mission, maintaining a continuous effort to improve services in our community and to meet the increasing demand for health care services for the growing number of low-income, uninsured, underinsured and underserved individuals in Cleveland County. CLECO is an essential part of the health care safety net providing needed primary and preventative care services to patients with a focused effort to reduce inappropriate utilization of hospital emergency rooms.
