Our story began in 1998 in a small Smartoys store in Wavre, Belgium, with lifelong friends and business partners Raphaël Pluta and David Sonnet, who continue to lead the Group today. From CLD Distribution's Belgian roots, we have grown into France, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Italy and North Eastern Europe. CLD Distribution remains our main distribution business in Benelux. Our B2B teams give publishers, brands and retailers the local expertise and European reach to grow. From product selection and sales to automated logistics, fulfilment and dropshipping, we connect products with markets. Trade marketing, in-store activations and events build visibility and bring brands to life. That connection continues through our own specialist retail and digital brands, bringing us directly into the worlds of players, collectors and fans. Smartoys helped pioneer specialist gaming retail in Belgium. Across key locations in Wallonia, its stores now bring together video games, pop culture merchandise and trading cards. Gamecash has championed the second life of games and consumer goods since its launch in France in 2005. Expert refurbishment by store specialists and a passion for retro culture define its identity. Now present in Belgium as "Gamecash powered by Smartoys", the brand is preparing to enter Italy. DLGamer entered digital content retail in France in 2003 as an early pioneer. Joining CLD Group in 2018, it grew its recognition through its Xbox partnership. A complete redesign in 2026, built on new technology, sets the stage for worldwide expansion.
