Founded in 1998 by Al and Robert Clay, the company is a turnkey developer of metal and tilt-wall projects. What We Do Clay manages the full development cycle, from purchasing land, designing the site, coordinating utilities, constructing the facility, and selling or leasing the completed project. Its in-house architectural, surveying, structural, and civil engineering capabilities streamline the planning phase, reducing both project timelines and development costs. The company's financial strength and established lender relationships allow construction to begin quickly to meet demanding schedules. Projects range from a 10,000-square-foot office building to a 160,000-square-foot freezer facility with 54-foot eaves to a 900,000-square-foot distribution center. Clay has developed more than 330 industrial and office buildings totaling approximately 26 million square feet, with costs exceeding $750 million, along with 23 industrial parks spanning more than 1,000 acres.
