Classical Bells Information

Classical Bells is dedicated to promoting the artistry of handbells through educational programs, workshops, and concerts in communities, churches and schools. LAURA BAKER, Livonia - Laura rings and sings at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, and works part-time in workman's comp. She enjoys going to the gym, tropical travel and painting watercolors. As CB equipment manager, she gets everything to the right place at the right time. LINDA BAUER is the Director of Music at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grosse Pointe Farms where she is the organist and directs the handbell choirs. She is also a district leader for AGEHR. She is returning to Classical Bells after a three year break. MELANIE NOTESTINE, Canton - Melanie works at the Plymouth YMCA, and serves as CB treasurer. She is a great mom to Nathan and Sidney. DARLENE EBERSOLE, Canton - Our fearless leader is the director of Classical Bells, and a four-in-hand quartet member. She directs the adult bell choir at St. Matthew's UMC in Livonia. Darlene teaches piano and gardens when she's not ringing. BARBARA ERICKSON, Livonia - Barb is a retired music teacher, directs handbells at Newburgh United Methodist Church in Livonia, and accompanies the choral program at Taylor High School. She is president of Classical Bells. MILLIE EVERSON, Livonia - Millie returned to CB last year after a three year hiatus. She travels the world with her husband Lowell, and when at home rings at Rosedale Pres. in Livonia. KAY FRENCH, Sterling Heights - Kay has been a member of Classical Bells for 20 years and works on our stage appearance and visual interpretation. She has also been a district leader for Area V in Michigan for the past 10 years and she is the Michigan state chair for Area V of the AGEHR. Kay has directed handbell choirs in Ohio and Michigan. MARTY HERMAN, Fenton - Marty directs the handbell choir at Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran Church in Brighton. She is in charge of sales of CB recordings and our archivist. BETHANY HENSON, Rochester Hills - Flutest extraordinaire Bethany chairs the CB publicity committee. She is a flute teacher and an accomplished photographer. MARGIE MOORE, Mt. Clemens - Margie rings bells and directs the chime choir at Zion United Church of Christ in Mt. Clemens. She is an AGEHR district leader, in charge of CB costuming and spoonist extraordinaire! JUDI RACHWITZ, Novi - Judi is director of handbells at Ward Church in Northville, a YMCA employee, and music theory and piano teacher at Madonna University. Judi is the CB business manager, and plays in the CB four-in-hand quartet. TERRY SPAW, Livonia - Terry is an engineer by trade and has been an associate member of Classical Bells for several years, helping us out with recordings and concerts. Now she has come on board full time. Terry rings in the bell choir at Newburg United Methodist Church in Livonia. DARCIE WEST, Mt. Clemens - Darcie is in charge of Classical Bells' workshops. Her day job is internal auditing at the YMCA in Metro Detroit. She rings and plays the flute at Mt. Clemens First United Methodist Church, and is a member of CB four-in-hand quartet.
