After over 43 years of service to car enthusiasts worldwide John Marks has decided to Semi retire, that is have more time off! Although John will eventually retire, this is not going to be immediately. In recent years we have lost a number of staff, and therefore have to be more selective and plan for the future, as we can no longer cope with the same volume of work. We are able to deal with most gauges, ammeters, fuel, including refilling temperature, and dual gauges, ammeters, eight day clocks, etc. We can build and supply many items from our large stock of instruments and spares. Chronometric instruments for most vehicles we still restore and supply, but we are not now able to work on magnetic instruments or electric rev counters, A.T. instruments, or Governors. The volume of work on chronometrics and gauges makes it difficult, so this is one section we must decline. We still make instruments for Bentley, Bugatti, MG, Riley, HRG, Lea Francis etc. Due to overwhelming paperwork created by Customs and Excise on imports, we no longer undertake work from outside the E.U. If you or a contact is visiting the U.K., and you bring them with you to deliver or post in the U.K., then please check with us first. Please DO NOT send instruments in for repair before you have contacted us to check if we can help, our current work load, and time scale. Photographs reduced in size are always helpful, in order to advise you We still own Vintage Restorations Ltd, British Jaeger Instruments Ltd, and the Trade Mark British Jaeger, which we continue to protect.
