Clarion Free Library Information

The Clarion Free Library's mission is to select, make available, and to promote the use of print and non-print library materials which educate, enrich, entertain, and inform and to serve as a gateway to additional resources for Clarion County citizens. With a collection of over 46,000 items, the library serves a population of 21,000 adults, young adults, and children of its service area. Clarion Free Library's collection consists of hardbound, paperbound, periodicals, maps, atlases, newspapers, videos and DVD's, electronic resources and microforms. The library consists of a staff of 3 full-time employees, and four part-time employees and a number of volunteers. The library is governed by a nine member Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees meets the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 P.M. in the library's meeting room. In December, the board meets the second Tuesday of the month.
