Claresholm AB Information

Claresholm is served by three schools. The CLARESHOLM ELEMENTARY SCHOOL is an ECS to Grade 3 school and provides all services at that level, including special education. The WEST MEADOW SCHOOL is a Grade 4-8 school and also provides all services, including special education. Instruction in programs such as French, band, industrial education and home economics is offered to beginning levels of students in these programs. The WILLOW CREEK COMPOSITE HIGH SCHOOL is a school serving Grades 9-12. It provides a full academic program and in addition, also provides vocational education classes in automotives, beauty culture, drafting and welding. Students in the vocational courses can either obtain advanced credits for technical school or the first year of apprenticeship training. In addition, the Willow Creek Composite High School offers a well-rounded Business Education program, which includes accounting, computer training and the fundamentals of business management. The Livingstone Range School Division Central Office is located in Claresholm and provides management services to the 4,800 students in the division. It is interesting to note that educational services in Claresholm employ 95 personnel with a payroll of $3.5 million annually.
