Citisend designs, manufactures and installs access control systems for waste containers. Residents open the container with their card or phone, and every opening is recorded. With that data, the municipality can apply pay-as-you-throw schemes or reward households that sort their waste properly, and the collection company knows what happens at every container. We support municipalities and service contractors throughout the whole process: designing the model, manufacturing the locks, installation, management platform, citizen app and maintenance. The system is in use in towns and cities such as Lleida, Alicante, Barcelona, Santa Perpètua de Mogoda, Alcalá de Guadaíra, Castellví de Rosanes, Piera and Jacarilla. Founded in 2018, we have our design and production centre in Sant Just Desvern (Barcelona) and offices at PCiTAL Gardeny in Lleida.
