JOYÀ habla de la aventura de una adolescente que es repentinamente catapultada al corazón de una jungla misteriosa que se encuentra dentro del universo de su abuelo, un hombre extravagante amante de la naturaleza, quien busca sin cesar el sentido de la vida. En brouillant sans cesse les frontières artistiques, Les 7 doigts de la main cherchent à atteindre l’universel, l’extraordinaire, l’indéfinissable, le viscéral et l’intime en chaque être humain. Le collectif créé en 2002 peut aujourd'hui compter sur une équipe de 200 artistes, gestionnaires et techniciens pour offrir les 1000 représentations annuelles de l'une de leur créations ou collaborations artistiques. En 2018, Les 7 doigts de la main ouvrent leur Centre de Création et de Production au coeur du Quartier des spectacles de Montréal (2 111 boulevard Saint-Laurent), regroupant ainsi toutes leurs activités sous un même toit et se dotant d'un lieu capable d'accueillir des événements à leur image, clé en main et sur-mesure. Les 7 co-fondateurs : Isabelle Chassé, Shana Carroll, Patrick Léonard, Faon Shane, Gypsy Snider, Sébastien Soldevila et Samuel Tétreault ont fondé Les 7 doigts de la main en combinant leurs talents et leurs expériences pour travailler ensemble vers une même visée artistique ============= By perpetually blurring artistic boundaries, Les 7 doigts de la main strive to reach the universal, extraordinary, indefinable, visceral, and intimate worlds in each human being. Created in 2002 and now made up of 200 artists, administrators, and technicians, the collective offers roughly 1 000 performances a year — both artistic collaborations and signature shows. In 2018, Les 7 doigts de la main will inaugurate its own Creation and Production Centre. The centre, based in heart of Montreal’s Quartier des Spectacles, will house the collective’s trademark creation and production activities all under one roof. the 7 founding directors of the company (Isabelle Chassé, Shana Carroll, Patrick Léonard, Faon Shane, Gypsy Snider, Sébastien Soldevila et Samuel Tétreault) who, by combining their distinct talents and experiences, work towards their common artistic goals with the beautifully awkward dexterity of a 7-fingered hand.

Currently in its fourth fifth of existence, Mummenschanz remains one of the most successful theater groups in the world. Formed in 1972 by Swiss artists Bernie Schürch and Andres Bossard with Swiss-American artist Floriana Frassetto, the pioneering performance troupe created a non-verbal theatrical language that transcended the traditional barriers of nationality and culture. The group had its breakthrough during an extended Broadway run at the Bijou Theatre in New York City from 1977-1980. Never before and or since has a show without words or music succeeded on Broadway for three consecutive years. Since then, the group has toured continuously around the globe, performing in renowned festivals and theaters worldwide.
