Cireon solid state lighting reduces the energy consumption of traditional commercial fluorescent lighting by 45-50% and HID (metal halide, high pressure sodium) lighting by 75-80%. There are no bulbs or ballasts to change (or parts and labor costs) over the minimum 60,000 hour life (to 87% minimum output). Additionally, the inherent linear dimming capabilities allow photocells and occupancy sensors to provide additional savings not feasible with fluorescent or HID.
