At CIMServe, we provide the systems and services that our clients need to manage their business more profitably in today's fast paced competitive markets. Our ability to implement, and support systems that reliably and consistently address the needs of their business' helps our customers to realize the maximum advantage from each opportunity. We are proud that we still serve the first clients we served when we started in 1985 and that our business has grown and evolved with them. Our principals, who have been applying computer technology to solve business problems since the 1960's, founded the company (as Construction Information Management) to serve the data processing needs of construction contractors. The company originally specialized in providing support and custom modifications for IBM's Construction Management and Accounting System (CMAS) running on the IBM System 36. The practice broadened to include support for other application software serving the construction and real estate industry such as Concord, TenMan, Deneb, Software Shop, Timberline, and others running on Unix systems and PC networks. Custom application programming and providing interconnection between field and home offices became part of the service offering. Another major effort involved connecting transaction-based systems such as truck scales, asphalt plants and silo load out systems at remote plant sites to the main office data processing system. During the same period, our client base expanded from local construction and real estate firms to include customers in the transportation, banking, retail and wholesale distribution, manufacturing, logging, legal, engineering, construction, real estate, and education sectors located throughout the lower 48 states and Alaska. In recognition of the computer integration and management services we provide to this varied clientele, we changed our company name to CIMServe in 1998. Our staff includes people with training and experience in the AS/400, Unix/Xenix/AIX, Novell Netware networking, Microsoft Windows NT networking, TCP/IP, Web Site hosting and development, and a variety of mail, messaging, forms, productivity and application development tools. We maintain active business partner relations with IBM, Cisco, Computer Guidance, Novell and VAI System 2000. We offer all of the services that large companies enjoy from their in-house, Management Information Systems department including planning, analysis, design, hardware and software selection, installation, implementation, system administration, training, programming, ongoing support and maintenance.
