CIFRA is a curated platform for media art. We bring together 3,500 artists from 60+ countries working across video art, sound art, generative practices, experimental moving image, and other emerging media art. CIFRA gives artworks a continued life beyond exhibitions, festivals, and biennials through curatorial context, documentation, and discovery in a living archive for media art. Built in collaboration with artists, independent curators, museums, festivals, cultural institutions, brands, and our editorial team, CIFRA is guided by an Artistic Vision Council including Christiane Paul, David Elliott, Oliver Grau, Martin Honzik, Daniela Arriado, Lev Manovich, and Olga Shishko. For audiences, CIFRA offers curated playlists, online exhibitions, documentary series, community meetups, and access to works long after the events where they premiered. For curators, researchers, and creative professionals, CIFRA serves as a living archive for media art, bringing together artworks, exhibition histories, and curatorial context in one place. For artists, CIFRA provides a dedicated environment to present their work, reach new audiences, receive royalties, participate in open calls, and access opportunities such as the CIFRA Award. For institutions and organizations, CIFRA develops new ways to present media art online and in cultural, public, and corporate spaces.
