CIEN Austral Information

CIEN Austral constitutes a consortium made up of Universities (Universidad Austral de Chile and Universidad de Santiago de Chile) and companies, (Alitec S.A.; Nutreco Chile S.A.; Pesquera Pacific Star.S.A, Marine Harvest Chile S.A.; Salmones Multiexport S.A and INTESAL S.A.). Our objective is design innovation and a change of focus in order to respond to your strategic queries concerning the Los Lagos Region while establishing social and production priorities of relevant players and their territories. CIEN Austral’s scientific and technological skills are positioned to coincide with one of the main clusters mentioned in the National Innovation Policy and are closely aligned with its priorities. From a regional perspective, the meat and dairy industries plus the growing demand for mussels are fundamental to our scientists, professionals and technicians that take this approach. We are añso dedicated to supporting and strengthening the recent regional institutions who, in turn, are focusing on innovation to increase regional competition.
