One Manchester exists to make a difference to people and places.
We own and manage more than 12,000 homes in central, south and east Manchester.
We make a difference to people and places by creating opportunities, transforming communities, and changing lives.
As an organisation that values an imaginative approach, we're constantly seeking new and innovative ways of investing, creating partnerships, and bringing people together to make a long-lasting, positive impact on our communities. We call this social innovation.
These are exciting times for the city of Manchester and the wider region. We have ambitious plans to build on the success of Manchester, to ensure growth continues in the housing, services, and partnerships that we provide. In developing new homes and business opportunities, we aim to offer more choice, quality, and value to our existing and new customers alike.
At Selwood Housing, we provide local affordable homes.
We own and manage over 7,200 homes for rent and shared ownership in the south west and are growing. Our ambition is to build 1,700 more affordable homes by 2034 to help tackle the housing crisis. As a charity, our surplus is reinvested into existing homes and services, building new homes and our communities.
We have been a vital part of our communities for over 30 years and know the difference a stable home can make. Affordable, safe, secure homes give people a foundation on which to build their lives. The range of homes we provide, from rented to shared ownership, sheltered accommodation and care homes, means we help many local people.
We believe that being truly local makes us different. Our team of more than 330 local people really know our customers and communities and are passionate about helping them.
Put simply, we are here to play our part in solving the UK's housing crisis, as a long-term partner and investor in our communities.
Established in 1968, we've been working with people to maximise their quality of life ever since.
We own and manage more than 5,500 homes in England and Wales, providing a range of housing solutions including general let properties, shared ownership (Homes by Muir), independent living (Muir Living) and supported housing.
We also provide supporting services to help maintain homes and provide tenancy support for customers.
With offices in Chester, Burnley and Huntingdon we enjoy the support of more than 200 colleagues.
