Christ's Kitchen Inc Information

Christ's Kitchen was formed in 2005 to do God's work through his people. Carolyn Carter came up with the idea to serve the poor, needy, those living on the streets, and Montrose seniors in this way. They recruited board members, incorporated and held meetings all before there was ever a place to serve! Initially, we served soup prepared at a local church kitchen, on the street in downtown Montrose. Eventually, we found a small kitchen with a hot plate, a small refrigerator and double sink. There was also a room with enough tables to serve about 35-50 people. Our first meals were served to about 35 people. Today, we serve an average of 90 to 100 guests per day. In May of 2011, we moved to the Penn Center Mall at 2305 So. Townsend Ave. where we can serve a larger number of Guests and Friends.
