Christian Community Church North Information

We have been involved with the accomplishment of this goal in our roles as teachers in Quito, Ecuador since 2006. One of the most common reasons missionaries leave the field is out of concern for their children's education. The process of Bible Translation can be an arduous task that takes many years or even decades. In order to keep the translators in the field a large network of support staff, including teachers, is necessary. Our time in Ecuador is coming to a successful end. By the end of this school year we will have accrued enough tuition credits to cover all tuition costs for all Wycliffe students through their senior years (the last graduating in 2013)! As much as we would like to come home we feel that the Lord is leading us to remain on the mission field for another two or three year term. Currently Asia is the continent with the largest need for teachers. Asia along with Central Africa and the Pacific Islands contain nearly 80% of the language groups that have yet to see a single verse of the Bible translated into their native tongue. Asia accounts for more than 30 percent of all of the world's language groups! One of the challenges of translating Scripture in Asia is the great number of complex writing systems. While many languages in the world, like English, have over time adopted a Roman script, more than 3 billion people use non-Roman scripts. Most of these people live in Asia. Grace International School in Thailand is where we believe God is calling us. Grace is in Chiang Mai which is a major hub for Asia missions. This city and this country is a refuge for missionaries who are doing their primary work in neighboring "closed" countries. Our goal is to connect the Christian Community Church with another unreached people group and to continue expanding the global vision of CCCN to Asia. We have thoroughly enjoyed our time in Ecuador. A piece of us will always be here. Thank you for your continued support over these last three years. We have felt loved and lifted up in your prayers. We hope you know how important a role you have played in bringing God's Word to the unreached peoples of South America. Please partner with us again as we head to Asia. Together, in this generation, we may see every language on the globe receive the Word of God!
