Chowventions Information

Woman-Owned/Disabled Veteran-Owned specialty food 'invention’ company that creates wholesale hand-crafted food products for people who are looking for 'something special from Wisconsin' that's fun, unique, flavorful, locally produced, on par with culinary trends, and suitable for a variety of dietary needs. Company History: The company had its humble beginnings in the kitchen of the “Chowventor’s" childhood home. It was there that she created her first innovative recipes. She started researching a career path selling recipes or cookbooks, but then considered manufacturing instead. She slowly gained confidence in her culinary abilities and came to realize that she had more to offer the world than just recipes. She wanted to create something bigger than herself. This new found inspiration became the basis for a ‘food invention’ company that honored her values toward animal welfare, human nutrition, environmental awareness, local economy, and her military history. Prior to this culinary epiphany, she spent nearly 10 years serving her country in uniform. She was honorably discharged after the accumulation of ‘invisible wounds’ and began her new life as a wounded warrior. Her health took a turn for the worse on many occasions, but her spirit never faltered. She was determined to become an active member of society again, in the best way she knew how….to serve people, but now she does it with food. The company logo signifies trading in her military uniform for a culinary apron. Initially, food spreads were tested in the Milwaukee area. Variable demographics proved the samples a success. Over the next few months she laid the groundwork for the beginnings of her company, and in January of 2015, Chowventions Inc. was born. Chowventions Inc. - From culinary to cocktails... the possibilities are endless. chowventions@gmail.com http://chowventions.com
