ChilliRack has taken a straightforward approach to providing an extremely effective air-cooling solution for rack-based IT equipment in the data center. Taking advantage of existing infrastructure, ChilliRack efficiently and effectively cools equipment housed in today’s data centers, including high density HPC servers, with sizable reductions in power use providing a big leap forward toward sustainability. Today’s practice of flooding the data hall with cold air, relying on each server’s internal fans to keep the equipment cool, has many shortcomings, yet no technology has been brought to market that could replace this legacy cooling method, with all of its shortcomings. Because ChilliRack is an air-cooling solution utilizing existing data center infrastructure, the long-awaited transition away from legacy cooling practices is now more feasible than ever.
