Our History: We have been part of the community for over 70 years. 1949 - Crippled Children’s Foundation of Rock Island County 1962 – Foundation for Crippled Children and Adults of Rock Island County 1979 – Crippled Children and Adults Serving Rock Island and Mercer Counties 1983 – Easter Seal Foundation Serving Rock Island and Mercer Counties 1989 – Easter Seal Foundation Serving Henry, Mercer and Rock Island Counties 2002 – Children’s Therapy Center of the Quad Cities In 2002, our Board of Directors made the decision to remain a local program and we became the Children’s Therapy Center of the Quad Cities, serving children throughout eastern Iowa and western Illinois. Our Services: PHYSICAL THERAPY Our goal is to promote gross motor development and independence with mobility, play and daily living skills. OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY Our goal is to promote a child’s independence in play, self-help skills, fine motor skills and independent living skills. SPEECH THERAPY Our goal is to promote the development of a child’s speech and language skills in order to improve communication in all aspects of daily life. FEEDING THERAPY Our goal is to enable infants and children to overcome feeding and swallowing disorders.
