Children's Charitable Foundation Information

Big Hope was founded to assist families with serious or chronically ill children. We understand the potential strain on the family's relationships when there is suddenly a medical issue that has no foreseeable end. Often, when a child is diagnosed with a serious illness, the mother becomes a full-time nurse and the father becomes a workaholic. Sometimes, the marriage relationship becomes strained because of limited conversation over a prolonged period of time. What makes things worse is when one of the parents leaves the relationship. This leaves the other parent attempting to hold things together. Generally, parents are not trained to be a nurse, counselor, therapists, and entertainer all in one. We do well in the beginning. We have great intentions. Then parents begin to question their ability to sustain this care. "How long will I be able to carry this child? "How can I afford all the trips to the doctor? "When will I have time for myself?" Our organization provides a benefit designed around the entire family. We determine, in a family meeting, what benefit will help the family strengthen the bond. A gift may be a vacation, transportation, financial assistance, housing assistance, or anything else that may help. The Corporation shall, at all times, operate for public charitable purposes consistent with Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
