CHILDREN HISPANIOLA ORGANIZATION Information

We are a group of Haitians living domestically and in foreign countries. We came together to found Children Hispaniola Organization because we truly believe that together we can make a difference in the lives of many abandoned and orphaned children on the Island. We have been working behind the scenes since 2008, yet on January 12, 2010 the devastation of the quake made us turn our behind the scenes actions into this non-profit organization in the hope of finding worldwide to respond to the needs of the children. As Haitian nationals, we can identify the needs and address them in more efficient ways. Your donations will go directly to the needs of the children. We are familiar with the statement that children are the future of the world. However, Children Hispaniola Organization firmly believes that children cannot be the future of the island that covers both Haiti and Dominican Republic while they are living on the streets and exposed to all kinds of threats. We are motivated and dedicated to help the children reach their potential as people created in the image and likeness of God. We believe in the need to alleviate the sufferings of those children by providing them access to some basic necessities such as shelter, food, healthcare, and education. Education is our priority. Without a good education, the children cannot make the right decisions in life and become good and decent citizens. We believe that those children can be useful and responsible citizens if they receive the care and education that they desperately need. Jesus says, "Let the children come to me because the kingdom of God is theirs," Children Hispaniola is dedicated to helping the children of the Island reach their potential by assisting them in their needs and bringing God's unconditional love to them.
