Child Development Foundation Information

Child Development Foundation ("CDF") was founded in 1987 out of the Child Development Center ("CDC"). CDC was the brainchild of Dr. Thomas Natoli of Norristown in 1966. Dr. Natoli was intimately aware of the hardships children face when dealing with special health problems. He made it his personal mission to provide therapies and hands-on care for them and set out to raise the money to do it. He organized CDC, formed a Board of Directors and began his work. Many long hours were spent by that first, dedicated Board of Directors who raised funds, knocked on corporate doors, and asked for donations. In 1987, as newer research changed delivery systems and offered more and better alternatives, CDC evolved into the Child Development Foundation we know today. CDF's main transformation was away from the "hands-on" care Dr. Natoli and his associates provided into the source of grant awards for various organizations who were offering complementary therapies and treatments for special needs children.
