Cheltenham Secondary College Information

Cheltenham Secondary College is a coeducational school which provides continuity of education for students from Year 7 to Year 12. Since being established in 1959, a strong tradition in education has been forged. The college sets high expectations of its students in achievement, in behaviour and in dress and grooming. At Cheltenham we place great emphasis on the need for courtesy and we stress that at all times, the college environment must be safe for all of its members. Discipline and self-discipline are highly valued and are acknowledged by the community as significant in our approach to the growth and development of our students. Opportunities are provided for students to progress through a very broad curriculum at junior levels which includes both academic studies together with studies in a number of technology and creative and performing arts areas. Our teachers are highly skilled and committed. Sport plays a prominent role in our curriculum and many opportunities exist for students to participate in a competitive program. We have three unique exchange programs at our college which provide opportunities for our students which are available in few other colleges. Our students and parents take considerable pride in Cheltenham Secondary College and we encourage both groups to become involved in as many college activities as they can.
