Checkfirst is a London software company, founded in 2021, that builds ScheduleAI: audit and inspection scheduling software for certification bodies, inspection bodies and accreditation bodies in the testing, inspection and certification (TIC) industry. Planning thousands of audits a year is a rules problem. Every allocation has to respect auditor competence (IAF codes, technical areas, category approvals), the accreditation body for each standard, rotation and impartiality, audit windows, languages, durations and travel. Most bodies still do this in spreadsheets or ERP modules, one audit at a time. ScheduleAI checks 35+ rules on every allocation and plans the whole programme at once. It finds the best-qualified internal auditor before subcontracting, forms teams for integrated multi-standard audits, clusters trips to cut travel, emails clients for preferred and excluded dates inside the audit window, and reschedules after cancellations with the smallest possible change. Planners approve every change, and every decision is logged with the reason. Measured on customers' own data: 49,000 audit hours scheduled in 12 minutes; 90% of a year of audits allocated automatically in 2 minutes; 92% internal utilisation; 22% less travel. ScheduleAI is ISO/IEC 27001 certified, GDPR compliant and hosted in AWS Ireland. It integrates with Intact, Outlook and in-house systems through a REST API and webhooks.
