Chatelles is a French woman slippers brand created in 2012 by François du Chastel. Parisian, effortless and timeless, all Chatelles slippers are customizable with interchangeable accessories and monograms. We specialize in seductive and feminine flats shoes as an alternative to heels. Our claim is shine in flats, no the the dictatorship of high heels! The company began with a love story. François fell in love and offered the girl a pair of slippers he designed with a verse by Victor Hugo embossed in the inner sole “I cannot live far away” … “from you any longer” . It worked – she fell in love with the shoes, broke up with him and left with the slippers. François survived this blow by launching Chatelles, his own brand of slippers.
