CharterDraw Information

CharterDraw was born when I witnessed the admissions lottery process at my daughters public charter school 4 years ago. It wasn't exactly names in a hat because they were using a bucket, and although the process was effective, it seemed to me there was an easier and more reliable way. The lottery director jokingly asked someone in the audience to automate the process and CharterDraw was born...at least in my mind. I wanted administrators and teachers putting effort into educating students, not running admissions drawings, so the less effort the lottery took the better! The following year the school used the spreadsheet based program I had written to run the lottery with great success. Applications for enrollment at the school has grown by leaps and bounds and CharterDraw now runs as a stand-alone executable connected to the auditorium AV system with computer generated narration. www.CharterDraw.com is under construction and I hope to make the software available to any public charter school in the United States via the web by June 2014.
