Character.org is a worldwide network that empowers people of all ages to practice and model the ethical core values that shape our hearts, minds, and choices. Formerly known as the Character Education Partnership, we have relentlessly advocated for character since 1993 -- because we believe character is at the core of who we are. Today, Character.org creates and shares resources that support people around the globe, including our 11 Principles Framework for Schools: A Guide to Cultivating a Culture of Character. Our vision is to serve as the hub for all things character by inspiring, recognizing, and celebrating thousands of people in schools and beyond who are champions for character.

Positive Action is a systematic educational program that promotes an intrinsic interest in learning and encourages cooperation among students. It works by teaching and reinforcing the intuitive philosophy that you feel good about yourself when you do positive actions. The effects of the program range from increased academic achievement to dramatic reductions in problem behaviors. These results have been replicated in diverse settings and feature the most rigorous efficacy study designs available. The International Institute for Restorative Practices (the IIRP), located in Bethlehem, PA, is the world’s first accredited graduate school that specializes in studying the field of restorative practices, providing education, research, and consulting services. At the heart of restorative practices is the understanding that human beings are instilled with the need to connect and grow with each other. The IIRP supports students and community leaders with the tools they need to transform relationships and effect change within their own lives as well as within public and private K-12 educational institutions, public and private four-year residential colleges and universities, non-governmental agencies (NGOs), and community-based organizations (CBOs). Through strong academic offerings combined with a real-life approach to education, the IIRP helps mend issues and makes resilient and meaningful relationships thrive. As the field of restorative practices grows and evolves, we are dedicated to always being on the forefront of exploring and testing new concepts, new approaches, and new methods.
