All teachers at Harmony Learning have earned Bachelors degrees, are First-aid and CPR certified, have current background checks, and are certified through the state with necessary training hours. Our preschool is daycare licensed with the State of Idaho (even though we really arent a daycare. Thats just how Idaho does it.) and business permitted through the city of Meridian, Idaho. We have regular inspections from both Health and Welfare and the Meridian Fire Department. Hi! My name is Miss Mandy. I am a wife, and mother of two beautiful girls. In my free time, I enjoy reading, organizing, shopping, eating out, and going on vacations with my familyespecially amusement parks! I enjoyed working with preschoolers all throughout college at BSU while obtaining a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Spanish/bilingual ed. I taught second grade for three years in the Nampa School District and after having children, decided that I really missed teaching preschool! I have been teaching at Harmony for eight years and truly LOVE what I do. It is so rewarding to see how much the students grow and learn on their journey in preparing for kindergarten! My journey to becoming a preschool teacher began as I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Speech and Language Development with a Minor in Music in 1995. After finishing my degree, I was blessed to work for three years at Centerville Academy- an amazing school which had over one hundred enrolled preschoolers. Shortly after moving to Idaho, I was able to found Harmony Preschool- our on-site preschool in Meridian, Idaho. I have now directed and taught at Harmony Preschool for over fourteen years and I have loved every minute of it! As much as I enjoy dressing up with the preschoolers and making a good sand castle in the preschool backyard, my favorite part of teaching is witnessing a preschooler gain a sense of deep confidence in themselves as a learner, friend, and student.
